About

Our eLive camp allows students to participate in workshops, as well as interact with classmates, and ask questions of the instructor--all virtually from the comfort of their own home.

This class requires a computer running either Windows or Mac OS, a Minecraft account, and Minecraft Java Edition dowloaded (see here for further specifications: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360035131371-Minecraft-Java-Edition-system-requirements-)

Description: Students will examine the power of Redstone! Redstone is Minecraft’s version of electricity, and works in many similar ways. We’ll learn Redstone tricks, build traps, parkour courses, elevators, secret doors and more! Come join the fun for one of our most popular camp themes.

(Please read and follow these instructions carefully. Digital Dragon will open the meeting link 15 minutes prior to class start time to help with troubleshooting--we will not start camp content until class start time. )

Digital Dragon will be offering your class through an online platform called Zoom. There are a few things you will need to do before participating in class tomorrow.

Task 1: Visit the following link--it should prompt you to download Zoom.
https://zoom.us/support/download Once you’ve downloaded it, you’ll need to run and install the software.

Task 2: Please test your Zoom audio before class. See here for a how-to on that: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362283-Testing-Computer-or-Device-Audio

You will receive a class link through our reminder email the day of class.

If you already have a Minecraft JAVA Edition account and are sure Minecraft JAVA Edition is installed on the computer your student is using, you are all set and we'll see you in class. If not, please continue below. Please note, an account for Minecraft Pocket Edition, or the Minecraft mobile app edition, will not work.

Task 3: Ensure that you have purchased a Minecraft account (if your student did not already own one). If you need to acquire an account, go to (https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/get-minecraft), choose "Computer", choose your Operating System (Chromebooks will not work), and then purchase Minecraft JAVA Edition. It should then prompt you to download and install Minecraft.

Task 4: If you already have a Minecraft account, but don't currently have Minecraft installed, please go here (https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/) to download, install, and run Minecraft. You will then be prompted to sign-in to your account.
